It's not personal, and i complete agree with you that Nathan does deserved to be made fun of for all time for his half-baked Blast face-off idea. I just thought you were a little hard on him so i'm coming to his defense, that's all. Last year was the first Armageddon in a long time where every system was played without experiencing major equipment failures. That's largely because of Nathan's exhausting lasertag center vetting. As far as being weird, yes that's definitely who i am. I live in a weird city (San Francisco baby!), i have a weird job (audio engineer for opera), and trying to find clothes that are as weird as i am is down-right impossible! I even hosted a outdoor lasertag event for peace loving hippies like me called "Make Love & War" http://funcrunch.org/lasertag , and i had over 60 people! I'm looking forward to this year's battle. The competition this year is going to be awesome! -Zigs

Well in all fairness the "face off" wasn't his idea... It was some old relic left over from the old blast years prolly about 10 years ago... but we were all doing silly things we regret 10 years ago... who would have thought all those hookers bodies would float out of the ground after the flood...

Yes Joe, we already know (or most of us do) that your personality is that angry white pittsburgh dude. Personally I don't find it irritatign as much as refreshing (it is nice to deal with someone who isn't tryign to overly ingratiate themselves to everyone). Saying that I am shocked at your abrasiveness would be at this point ludicrous. However I was surprised that you would be so openly rude about a center that aside from this one issue has been very accomodating to us. I am surprised that a manager would think that stating they demand a center change its rules would be acceptable. You asked last year, so did I, we can ask again. Not saying to beg, but making demands is out of line. Any tag player and certainly any tag staff member should know that by now. As Ricky and Jason have stated at many armageddon's past, all the players of this tournament are ambassadors of this tournament. Given that these forums are public and accessible to site owners means this area falls under that professional demeanor etiquette as well. It is politics plain and simple, being bad guests puts this and other tournament futures in jeopardy. @Ziggy, thanks for pointing out the work I have been doing, but firstly I think everyone knows, Ricky has gone to great lengths to point it out. Secondly Ricky desereves far more praise, he does far more. Also please dont make such personal attacks. We degenerated into that last year and it has been nice hereto now to not have gone down that road. @greg, yes thanks for pointing out that it wasn't some random creation of mine. Though that was made clear several times before, so somehow I think no one will notice this time either >_>

I'm white?
you know, maybe I should just call them on the phone and ask them: why not? I'm not being angry here, I'm just really, really confused. We're all going to go in there eventually anyway. Why restrict something that is a guaranteed eventuality? Our slow, leisurely stroll through the arena is far less dangerous that us running around like maniacs with the equipment on. In fact, it lowers the likelihood of accidents since we would be much more accustomed to the arena. This is good for insurance purposes!
If I had to guess, someone is in charge that doesn't understand the situation from our point of view. Am I even close to being correct? Does the previous paragraph make any sense?

I admit i haven't seen you at your most angry state Zalgax but I doubt you'd had brawls like we use to have at Photon. We use to have some damn good fights lol.

Go ahead and give them a call, it can't hurt to have someone else asking Laser One: (973)702-0500 (the operator's name is Jim). I think so, all the times that I asked, the answers did not really make sense to me either. The only consistent understandign I got was that it was against policy (heck of all the times I have been there I have only once been in the arena without a pack on and that was aa super special circumstance for someone else).

I think you'll have more success if you have some of our female players offer the management some of XXX's special cookies, and then have them ask about seeing his arena. -Zigs
