A player can only carry 1 flag at a time. If eliminated while carrying the flag, then the flag is dropped (as opposed to returned). No points given for flag pulls. In the event that a team has an equal number of flag-hangs winner is determined by hit count(?) or score(?) from tagging players. I would assume that a fully eliminated team is an automatic loss.
I vote for a straight-forward capture-the-flag 9 live elimination, or 9 live team elimination. We've used these game formats in previous Armageddons and they worked well. They are also familiar formats used at countless other outdoor lasertag sights across the world. There is ample online reference to these standard game formats. I don't think we should be playing any game format that isn't already posted somewhere on an outdoor lasertag website.
I've played a variety of outdoor tag game formats at a several different sites, and i've never heard of this 5-center-flag format. It's nowhere on any of the battlefieldsports, combatsports or adventuresports pages. I strongly object to this unknown and unproven game format.
I also hear that we only get 3 lives in an elimination. Again i think this is without precedent, as none of the Battlefieldsports game formats or Combatsports formats posted online have starting lives this low for an elimination game. Let's stick with what we know works, and vote against these unproven new game formats that nobody has ever heard of.
I'll never forget the 2007 UK Armageddon when it was somehow decided to play (ie Beta-Test) the new President game format for Ultrazone Nexus. It was a disaster.
